The Current Sanctuary

N.A.B.S rescue is nestled on our 330 acre sanctuary in Danbury, TX, a site specifically chosen in 2003 to insure their safety and room to expand.  It also provides sanctuary for our horses, donkeys, and cows.

Our 10 outdoor enclosures are approximately 5’Hx25'Wx40'L with two 5’ gates set atop a 200’Wx200’Lx6’H elevated pad.  This set up offers cool breezes year round, and is safe from any flood.  Each enclosure has a wading pool, dogloos, and one or two compatible companions.

Provisions include music, private crating indoors for meals, quiet time after eating, supervised doggie community play areas, treats, and a pond with supervised swims for the water lovers.

No one will ever sleep in the rain or cold on N.A.B.S.' watch. They each have a wire crate with warm dry bedding and water at all times inside the cargo containers.  They also eat in their crates daily as well and are then returned to their exterior enclosure.

N.A.B.S.' two metal containers are 8'Wx9'Hx40'L, 5 tons each.  They have two 4'Hx6'W side open raise windows and doors on each end as well as shop fans for summer and propane heaters for winter, anchored and hurricane prepared.

The Ark’s Onsite Adoption Building is home for the small and senior rescues as well as the Ark's office.  It is also safely situated atop the elevated pad.

N.A.B.S. has lots of plans for the sanctuary! We are wanting and planning to build a new shelter, which will be an earth shelter (www.earthshelter.com) building for our dogs, and more outdoor enclosures; including one which will surround the sanctuary and pond
.

If you would like to donate to the building fund click the red button below. Please make a note indicating builing fund.
